Inline hockey and Quad hockey are two versions of Rollerhockey. Inline hockey is very much like Ice Hockey where participants utilize inline
skates to roam around the ground. Inline hockey is a team sport played on a
concrete or wooden surface. Quad hockey or Rink hockey is an another version of
the roller hockey where player use quad skates to play.
In in line hockey, players utilize a hockey stick to take a plastic hockey puck to score points by shooting the puck in to the goal of their opponent. Inline hockey is composed of up to four lines of participants such as two defense men on each line and two forwards. There are only five players in a team (when in the match) including the goalie, whose task is to protect the net thus preventing rival team making score. Teams include 16 players who sit on the seat until it's their turn and inline hockey performed on inline skates as its name implies. The team scored the most goals declared as the winner. Overtime play, and shootouts will be used to decide the winners of the match if a match finished with a tie or draw.

USA Roller Sports which is commonly known to as USARS is the highest governing body for the sport in USA. USARS arranged many tournaments in USA, but there were some other independent tournament providers such as North American Roller Championship, Amateur Athletic Union etc. Federation Internationale de Roller Sports and the International Ice Hockey Federation represented inline hockey globally, and both organize separate World championships yearly.
Differences
with Ice Hockey
Although inline hockey is very much like ice hockey on
inline skates, this change ramifies resulting in significant differences
between both sports. Inline hockey is played at room temperature on a dry hard
surface s which is not made from ice like in ice hockey. This helps to the bearings in the skate wheels.
Sealed concrete, timber and plastic
tiles are used as a surface material which balance surface’s ability to slide
the puck easily and to have a better handling with skates. But not one
of these surfaces, are smooth as ice. So as a consequence the puck is made from
a plastic substance that is rest on nylon to decrease friction.

Inline hockey is a less physical
sport than Ice hockey apart from the equipment used in a match. Body checking
is generally a penalty, and many Leagues penalize for fighting. Players
often wear less clothing and less padding. There are some rule differences too.
A match doesn’t stop for Icing and only 4 players allowed to play in a match
rather than Ice hockey’s five players apart from the goalie and there are no offside
rules in inline hockey.
